Senior Scientist - Onsite - Fremont, CA
Fremont, United States
What you will accomplish together with us:
- Lead the design, proof-of-concept, and development of new biosensor, consumable, and assay/application for real-time binding quantitation/kinetics analysis of proteins and other biomolecules on Octet BLI and SPR platforms. Thorough understanding of biomolecular interactions and technical expertise in assay design required.
- Conduct experimental designs in an organized and methodical manner for biosensor development and assay optimization to improve the repeatability, stability, and robustness of consumable products. Excellent in critical thinking and problem solving for consumable development and capable of implementing necessary process control for desired product performance.
- Interact cross-functionally to translate customer requirements and define products. Design and execute verification/validation plan for the development of new assays, instruments, and methodologies. Take responsibility and accountability to lead the transfer of the biosensors and other consumables from development to manufacturing.
- Create and implement quality control methods for Octet consumables and instruments. Apply sound knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability to specification and target setup, product performance evaluation, as well as statistical process control.
- Represent the assay R&D group in project teams to develop new biosensor and consumable products. Generate reports of assay development and clearly communicate progresses and findings to the core team. Conduct troubleshooting and risk management for products and projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of experimental data and generate sound technical protocols for the development of highly reproducible and reliable biosensors and other consumables for applications in pharmaceutical, academic, and other life science research areas.
- Establish and maintain strong technical knowledge of assay development for label-free technologies, Octet SPR and BLI products and their applications as well as relevant competing products and companies. Provide in-depth knowledge on released products and related technical support for field teams.
- Participate in intellectual property creation
