Senior Sales Systems Engineer (North East Region Preferred)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Systems Engineer based in the North East Region of the United States with a familiarity, focus, and understanding of Media and Entertainment workflows to join our Solutions Engineering Team. The Senior Sales Systems Engineer is pivotal in engaging with customers, prospects, and channel partners externally, while internally collaborating with all departments, notably Sales, Product, and Channel teams. As a senior role, this individual will practice autonomy and should require minimal management oversight for day to day tasks. This individual will leverage their technical expertise to understand and address customer needs, facilitate seamless communication between internal teams, and drive sales growth by effectively showcasing OpenDrives' solutions through demos. This role requires a deep understanding of industry trends and a proactive approach to aligning technical solutions with customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Fully listen to and analyze customer wants, needs, pain points, and business objectives and successfully translate them into a fully integrated technical solution.
- Provide technical expertise to facilitate growth in both employees and customers.
- Create the technical components, including diagrams, for presentations and proposals as applied to active sales opportunities.
- Anticipate and answer questions that will remove objections and move sales campaigns forward.
- Build relationships and become the trusted technology advisor to their customers.
- Deliver demos to convey the benefits of choosing OpenDrives’ products and OpenDrives as a company.
- Works with their sales counterparts to align OpenDrives feature to customer ROI
- Complete and submit the technical portions of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that OpenDrives participates in.
- Research competitive technologies when in a bake-off sales campaign.
- Provide feedback and feature requests to the Product and Engineering teams about new trends/shifts in technology
- Take the lead in communications and project management when a sales opportunity becomes a Proof of Concept (POC).
- Providing Technical Leadership both internally and externally.
- Have a clear understanding of the Open Drives Products and Roadmap.
- Keep themselves up to date with Industry Innovation and Direction.
- Must live in North East region of US
- Occasional travel required for customer demos, channel partner training,conferences, and company events
Competencies and Skills:

- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.

- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to adapt and respond to interrupt driven activities in a timely manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or field related to products and services being sold preferred.
- Eight+ years of related product or sales experience required

Pay Scale Disclaimer:
The hiring base salary range for this role is $150,000.00-$175,000.00 USD annually plus variable pay of up to $25,000.00 USD annually.
