Senior Risk Engineering Consultant

Zurich is seeking an experienced Risk Engineer to support Captives, Programs & Direct Markets. This role is virtual servicing accounts nationwide and includes a company car with expected travel up to 60%.
In this role you will support Captives, Programs and Direct Markets as a field engineer. Zurich’s Risk Engineers provide risk assessment and risk improvement services for customers and business partners in specific or multiple lines of business. Acts as a recognized expert with an enhanced level of expertise in respect of a specific line of business or significant risk area.
Responsibilities include:

Work in a team environment to support underwriting and customers within captives, programs, and direct markets.

Support strategy to manage and oversee risk management support.

Identify and quantify the potential risk of loss from policyholders (members) and the establishing appropriate service plans and objectives to address actual / potential loss drivers.

Work with Program Administrators to support assessment and technical needs.

Supporting Underwriting in analyzing new and renewal business.

Developing and maintaining relationships in support of business retention, acquisition, and growth.

Working directly with captive consultants and members determine their risk management/mitigation related needs and provide solutions.

Collaborate with internal and external business partners to provide innovative solutions to positively impact profitability.

Execute on service initiatives and ensure service allocations are utilized and monitored.

Support the growth and development of captives, programs, and direct markets.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
OR -
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
OR -
Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate’s degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
AND -
Experience working in a team environment.

Experienced in Property & Casualty engineering/loss control/risk management (workers compensation, auto, property, product and auto)
