Olo is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing team! Reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager, you will assist the revenue team with various financial and non-financial tasks to ensure our billings and revenues are reported accurately and contribute to process improvements as our business continues to grow. Candidates should have GAAP knowledge, strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Billing Operations:
  • - Review the monthly invoicing process, which includes generating and distributing customer invoices, reconciling usage and product data setup, preparing customer invoicing reports, and validating service and pricing terms with customer contracts.- Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies and accurate representation of service and pricing terms in our billings.- Analyze billing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.- Prepare and present billing and revenue reports to management, offering insights and recommendations for process enhancements.- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex billing inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective resolution.- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing billing concerns promptly and professionally.- Accounting responsibilities, i.e., reconciliations, Journal entries, and general ledger analysis 
  • Process Improvement:
  • - Work on initiatives to streamline and improve billing processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.- Develop and document billing procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Compliance and Audit:
  • - Ensure billing practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis related to billing activities.- Update and maintain SOX documentation of controls and process narratives, ensure no control gaps and risks, and effective internal controls.

What We'll Expect From You

  • 2+ years of SaaS billing experience. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions). 
  • Excellent verbal and written client-facing communication skills.
  • Accounting experience in a Software-as-a-service environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Sage Intacct financial software.
  • Experience with Zendesk and Braintree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Looker or other BI tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets.
