Senior Quality Automation Engineer
US CA Remote
What you’ll do
Improve our automation coverage by working closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers on test planning and building automated test cases.
Work closely with developers to understand the product architecture while identifying, designing, or enhancing existing test automation plans
Assist in designing test strategies, employing test tools and implementing test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Maintain and run automation scripts for new functionality and regression testing
Maintain and extend our test frameworks and test tools as needed
Participate in defect reporting, tracking, resolution and closure
Multitask between triaging issues, authoring test plans and automated tests, reviewing coverage and handling intake from existing and emergent feature development pipelines
Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance and be able to handle periods of uncertainty and ambiguity; detail-orientation is a must
What you’ll bring:
8-10+ years hands-on software quality assurance testing experience, preferably with web and mobile applications in the software development industry
Experience developing automated UI and API tests
Experience with Web testing elements such as HTML, CSS, XPath, etc
Foundational knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts
Proficiency in Javascript
Experience with code deployments and version control systems (Git)
Experience with creating automation using Cypress.io framework
Experience with Continuous Integration and familiarity with Continuous Deployment tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc)
Experience debugging and fixing automated tests

The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $95,000 USD - $137,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location.
