The Senior QA Engineer I is responsible for complex tasks and completes them despite roadblocks, grabbing others for help or insight as necessary. The role is expected to work with Agile teams that consist of test analysts, developers, automation and manual engineers and other stakeholders. The position works in a global virtual team, sometimes across multiple time zones. The job is assigned to more than one role or project at a time. This position should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Develop test solutions for applications across different platforms
  • Adhere to existing standards; provide suggestion to improve and set new standards and identify test automation scope and priorities
  • Involve in Configure, maintain, and operate service test automation tools and frameworks and Integrate test automation scripts with Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline
  • Closely work with Scrum Teams, QA Leads, QA Manager and share the Daily and Weekly Status Reports
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate how contributions can affect larger architecture, developing risk mitigation and contingency plans
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical teammates and shows a high level of emotional and professional maturity.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow processes, work effectively, both in a team and independently, and maintain a positive working attitude. 
  • Show curiosity to not only learn new things but fully understand how they work
  • Be highly productive - have a reputation for getting things done quickly and efficiently
  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
  • 30-day notification period preferred 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Must have hands-on experience with Selenium automation using Java
  • Working knowledge of any Relational Database and DB Queries.
  • Working knowledge of tool and technologies like Jenkins, GIT, Maven, TestNG, JIRA and ALM
  • Well versed with approaches like BDD, Keyword Driven, Data Driven and hybrid Driven test automation.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge on API Testing (Postman & RestAssure).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge on Accessibility Compliance Testing and Qualys – Web vulnerability Testing
