Job Description Arkatechture is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work alongside the other senior members of the Arkalytics team and to provide leadership for a project team. In this role, you will be accountable for data and software development projects from their inception through to delivery and beyond. You should possess enough knowledge of the technical details to give updates as needed. As a challenge lover and a problem solver, you must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise a project team
- Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Initiate and plan the approach to each project
- Work with product owners and subject matter experts to understand system needs and translate to product backlogs
- Work with Lane Leaders to refine user stories and break them into tasks
- Define tasks with acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owner and technical teams
- Drive detailed estimates, work breakdown and plans
- Work with PMO to drive adherence to deadlines with an emphasis on client satisfaction
- Identify, quantify, manage and escalate risks and issues at all times
- Facilitate client and internal working sessions and project status meetings
- Ensure business requirements are well understood and work closely with development teams to successfully meet business goals within budget
- Facilitate Agile practices such as daily stand-ups, grooming, planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives and ensure that these ceremonies progress effectively
- Take ownership, be creative with problem solving and proactively remove roadblocks and guide team towards successful completion of sprint cycles
- Complete understanding of SDLC processes for end-to-end projects in a client facing consulting role
- Collect and report status and project health to PMO
- Effective budget management and escalation at the right time to resolve any conflicts
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or comparable work experience
- PMI/PMP certified or Scrum Master Certified preferred
- 8+ years of experience in a project management position
- 3+ years of experience as a business or data analyst preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of resources
- Competency with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Working understanding of data management and Business Intelligence
- Experience defining and executing time-and-materials and fixed-price contracts
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Jira and Project Management Software
- Experience with Data management/Data warehousing is a nice to have
