THE JOB: Senior Project Manager
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $102,720 - $128,400
Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Senior Project Manager, Information Technology (Sr. PM), is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all assigned projects or programs. This includes scoping, planning, executing, monitoring schedules, identifying and managing risks, resources, and reporting to all levels of areas of the organization and impacted parties or partners. The Sr. PM steers the ship, maintains detailed plans throughout the project life cycle, takes into account inter-dependencies, coordinates with cross-disciplinary teams and areas of the org are impacted parties, partners., and works with external vendors to ensure project delivers on the expected business outcomes, drive value through benefits realized and supports the adoption of the changes.
In addition, the Sr. PM recommends information technology strategies, policies and procedures that drive forward the business solutions in alignment with the organization’s strategic direction, evaluates trends, anticipates business needs, and contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to project delivery. With a focus on digital transformation and a cloud-first mandate, the Sr. PM will play a vital role in scoping, implementing and supporting the adoption business and software solutions of change through projects and programs that improve the employee and member experience across Doctors of BC.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end to end project lifecycles across a portfolio of business and technology projects utilizing both agile and waterfall methodologies. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scope objectives and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals foster a culture of business agility and change management, ensuring teams ability to respond to change and continuously improve processes. Develop project plans, schedules and budgets ensuring resources are allocated effectively and risks are identified, managed and mitigated, facilitate communication between all levels areas of the organisation and impacted parties or partners. Ensuring outcomes and expectations are aligned and project progress is clearly reported. Utilizes various project methodologies such as agile practices such as scrum or Kanban where applicable, and coaching teams through it for development and delivery. Adapt to and manage the transition between agile and waterfall methodologies as required by project specific needs. Implement and reinforce change management strategies to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new processes or systems utilizing your critical thinking, influence and ability to effectively escalate and recommend impactful recommendations.
*The successful candidate will be required to reside in the Province Of British Columbia.

- Converses with, writes strategic documents for, and creates/delivers presentations to internal business leaders as well as external group.
- Leads discussions with senior leaders and external partners in ways that support strategic planning and decision-making.

- Identifies underlying differences and resolves conflict openly and empathetically. Explains the context ofmultiple, complex interrelated Asks searching, probing questions, plays devil’s advocate, and solicits authoritative perspectives and advice prior to approving plans and recommendations.

- Anticipates problem areas and associated risk levels with objective
- Uses formal methodologies to forecast trends and define innovative strategic choices in response to the potential implications of multiple integrated options.
- Generates and solicits the approval of senior leadership prior to defining critical issues and solutions to unclear, multi-faceted problems of high risk which span across and beyond the enterprise.

- Advises others on how to interpret the current environment and assess/plan for likely future scenarios.

- Anticipates external policy changes or other industry or governmental shifts that could potentially impact the work of the organization, and creates strategic plans to address these changes accordingly.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A background in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, AND ten years of progressive and relevant experience scoping and implementing business and software projects and/or programs.
- Relevant certification such as PMP certification or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop comprehensive reports and engage with C-Suite
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills; solid judgment; critical thinking skills; a sense of teamwork and
- Highly organized, with demonstrated project management and change management
- Experience working with multiple-areas of the organization across various initiatives impacted and demonstratedexperience working in dynamic, and iterative
- Advanced computer skills e., Microsoft Suite, Apple, and cloud based tools
- Experience working in the healthcare industry would be an
- Experience with Clickup would be an asset
- Experience in Change Management would be an asset
