Senior Project Manager
Fort Wayne, IN, US
Description
Sharetec is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team!
At Sharetec, we believe in a people first business. We have the opportunity to make millions of peoples' lives easier by developing innovative solutions for credit unions and their members to utilize on a daily basis. Not only do our customers rely on us to deliver powerful technology, but they also count on us to be a caring partner in their business.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in leading large-scale credit union core system conversions and implementations from kickoff to completion. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing complex, multi-phase software deployment projects - ideally in the financial services or credit union space, and preferably involving core processing systems.
You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with excellence. You'll also be a mentor and thought partner to other PMs, continuously helping improve our tools, processes, and approach to project delivery.
This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid-remote position located at our office in Ft. Wayne, IN. For the right candidate, fully remote work is also an option. We can only consider remote employees who reside in one of the states listed below. The starting salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000.
Who will love this job:
- A confident and experienced project leader who has run full-cycle core system implementations or conversions
- A strategic thinker who can balance the big picture with meticulous execution
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role and enjoys variety in their work
- Someone who enjoys getting out of the office and working onsite
- A natural collaborator who builds strong relationships with customers, teammates, and stakeholders
- Someone who’s passionate about improving systems and processes as part of a growing software company
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to assess client business objectives and translate them into strategic deployment plans that drive long-term success.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders - leading meetings, aligning priorities, and ensuring seamless communication across all project phases.
- Oversee and manage detailed project timelines, proactively reporting on milestones, risks, and key metrics to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Define, validate, and communicate clear project deliverables and success criteria, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business goals.
- Uphold and evolve Sharetec’s implementation standards by executing project plans with precision and consistency.
- Identify and resolve project challenges swiftly, escalating issues appropriately and ensuring stakeholder visibility and resolution paths.
- Lead post-project evaluations to identify strengths and gaps, using insights to continuously refine project frameworks, tools, and documentation.
- Champion continuous improvement by enhancing project management processes, contributing to playbook development, and mentoring others on best practices.
You should have:
- 5+ years of software project management experience, including managing client-facing implementation projects
- Direct experience leading core system conversions or implementations, ideally in the credit union or banking industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expertise with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent work experience
- PMP certification (preferred) or a clear willingness to pursue certification within 12 months
Additional requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel periodically to client sites
- Comfortable working remotely with teams across different locations and time zones
