THE JOB: Senior Project Coordinator, Provincial PCN Initiative

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $62,703 - $78,380

Reporting to the Manager, Provincial PCN Initiative, the Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a wide array of activities to support planning and implementation of Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across British Columbia. Working with the team and external partners, particularly the Ministry of Health, the Senior Project Coordinator creates and maintains systems to track key details for all PCNs across the province; develops, implements and trains team members on provincial processes; develops progress reports; and maintains a resource catalogue. This role is responsible for coordinating activities within the FPSC PCN Knowledge Exchange Strategy, including participating in agenda development and creating meeting summaries. The Senior Project Coordinator may also be tasked with preparing briefing notes and broad external communications related to PCNs.

  • Identifies potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards.
  • Reviews department’s progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project
  • Supports others in achieving deliverables by efficiently allocating resources and providing common organizing systems, techniques, and disciplines.
  • Maintains a proactive work review and approval process prior to assignment completion.
  • Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement.

Communication For Results (A):  

  • Converses with, writes reports for, and creates/delivers presentations to all levels of colleagues and peer groups in ways that support problem solving, planning and consensus with business partners.
  • Debates opinions, tests understanding, and clarifies judgments. Brings conflict into the open empathetically.
  • Explains the context of multiple interrelated situations, asks searching, probing questions, and solicits expert advice prior to taking action and making recommendations.

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or recognized professional designation in related field, and up to three years of progressive and related experience OR an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education. 
  • Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system and the Joint Clinical Committees, particularly the FPSC.
  • Experience working with family physicians, Divisions of Family Practice, Ministry of Health and/or other partners in the primary care sector is an asset.
  • Expert time management and problem solving skills, including highly organized, excellent judgement in setting priorities, and able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, with demonstrated project coordination and document management skills.  
  • Proven ability to work independently and with a team, collaborating with colleagues inside and outside the organization to achieve initiative success. 
  • Strong research and writing skills, including a proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive reports and other documents. 
  • Excellent computer skills required including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Flexibility to accommodate early morning and evening meetings, as required.
