Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

Project leader role that manages and drives the successful and timely implementation of key ongoing Labor & Employee Relations projects and initiatives using best practice project management methods.  Establishes project plans and coordinates, oversees, and tracks project activities using project management tools, including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and other project management technology. Manages project milestone meetings and updates relevant stakeholders. Presents project updates to senior leadership. Leads benchmarking function for LR/ER organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans for new projects and tracks progress to completion using project management tools, including Microsoft Teams, Excel and other project management technology.
  • Organizes project meetings, status reports and challenge sessions to ensure on time, on plan project management.    
  • Owns LR/ER benchmarking function, utilizing various benchmarking resources to identify LR/ER best practices.    
  • Escalates challenges to schedule or project completion and regularly briefs HR leadership on project status.    
  • Creates and maintains best practices for effective project management and implements process improvements to maximize LR/ER team productivity.
     

Job Specific Qualifications

Specific Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years experience with Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field         
  • In lieu of degree - 12 years related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with project management tools
  • General knowledge of Human Resources functions
  • Meticulous attention to detail; ability to proactively anticipate issues and complications to processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar; tact, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information; initiative; and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be able to distill, interpret, and convey complicated processes; manage a high volume of work, including a variety of concurrent tasks; work independently with minimal supervision; remain flexible as situations demand without sacrificing quality of work; anticipate and act on the needs of direct managers and other stakeholders, taking action to address consequences, potential problems, or opportunities for change; and resolve problems in a thorough and timely manner

Desired:

  • Prior experience working in the labor and/or employee relations field
  • Advanced degree in Business, HR or related field
