Job Description

Salary Range: up to $135,000 annually (depending on experience)

Overview:
The Senior Program Analyst is responsible for developing, administering, and troubleshooting computer programming software that efficiently processes and secures large-scale data. This role involves data analysis, automation, and reporting, ensuring data integrity and security while supporting enterprise-wide statistical and operational initiatives. The analyst will also identify trends, develop automation scripts, and optimize data-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development & Administration: Design, implement, and maintain software solutions that process large datasets securely and efficiently.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to extract insights and identify trends.
  • Automation & Optimization: Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve data workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Data Security & Governance: Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards, implementing protective measures for sensitive information.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with data leaders, operational entities, and cross-functional teams to enhance data integration and sharing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance data architecture and software solutions.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, data analysis, automation, and IT operations.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data Architecture: Designing and implementing data models, schemas, and pipelines for seamless integration.
    • Data Quality Analysis: Setting statistical data standards, performing audits, and improving data accuracy.
    • Master Data Management (MDM): Implementing metadata management and ensuring data integrity.
    • Data Catalog Development: Creating and managing a structured inventory of data assets.
    • Security & Privacy: Implementing privacy-preserving techniques and exploring synthetic data approaches.
    • Interagency Coordination: Managing relationships between statistical organizations and operational entities to enhance data governance.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Expertise in cloud-based data processing, security frameworks, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with privacy-preserving data techniques and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret (w/SCI eligibility) clearance 
  • US Citizenship is Required
