Senior Product/Service Specialist - Automotive

Responsible for selling automotive services to automotive customers. This is highly specialized and strategic role requiring the ability to evangelize a nascent service to a specific industry sector.
- Develops and presents sales proposals, systems solutions and close complex technical sales opportunities as needed.
- Develops and maintains a highly technical knowledge of UL Solutions products and services and is able to communicate value proposition to clients effectively
- Subject matter expert in automotive supporting internal staff with complex details on UL Solutions products and services.
- Will require attendance to conference and expos
- Possible participation in industry panel discussions
- Identifies and resolves wide range of issues with little or no supervision
- University Degree (Equivalent to bachelor’s degree) in Chemistry or Material Science or Engineering field
- Proven experience in similar role is acceptable
- 5 years of directly related experience. Positive for the position is experience in two of the following areas technical, sales, consulting and business development experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
- Ability to translate/leverage customer pain points into solutions provided by UL EM and other COUs.
- Ability to turn technical solutions into UL revenue.
- Have the skill to influence both technical and business stake holders within EM and other COUs to form into a team to address customer needs.
- Comfortable with engaging high level technical and business customers.
- General knowledge of company policies and sales processes.
- Demonstrated ability to execute projects to achieve stated objectives.
- Recognized as a product or service specialist by peers, customers, or industry leaders.
- Significant business travel and work outside of the office required.
What we offer:
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $138,425 - $184,450.. which includes a base salary of $89,300. - $119,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 50% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
