As a Senior Production Designer at Code and Theories Creative Studios - Engine, you will be a pivotal part of our creative team, responsible for delivering high-quality design across all production design work streams. You will handle a variety of asset types, including deck design, social assets, production design for video &VFX, display ads, CRM materials, UX design and localization assets. Your role is integral to the studio’s success, ensuring that all design work is executed with the utmost attention to detail, creative excellence, and consistency, while utilizing cutting-edge tools and AI-powered automation to optimize workflows and scale production.

With a strong foundation in traditional design skills, you will be empowered by the latest in AI generative technology to streamline repetitive design tasks and focus your efforts on higher-level creative execution. You will work closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to ensure that every asset produced aligns with the creative vision, brand standards, and project goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design Execution Across All Production Streams:
    • Production Design: Create visually compelling designs for a wide range of assets, from high-impact marketing materials to creative campaign components.
    • Deck Design: Design professional, engaging, and visually consistent presentations, working closely with the team to develop slides that clearly communicate brand messages and campaign strategies.
    • Design for video &VFX: Support our motion team in developing video assets across varied client needs
    • Display Ads & Banners: Produce optimized designs for digital display ads, ensuring they are platform-specific, engaging, and brand-aligned.
    • Social Assets: Design social media content that aligns with platform specifications and creative goals, using a social-first approach to drive engagement.
    • CRM Assets: Work on email templates, banner ads, and other CRM-related materials to ensure they meet brand standards and marketing objectives.
    • Localization Assets: Ensure that content is appropriately localized for different regions while maintaining brand integrity and style consistency.
  • Quality Control & Brand Consistency:
    • Perform detailed QC checks across all design work to ensure it meets high-quality standards, is brand-compliant, and is correctly formatted for delivery.
    • Regularly review assets for visual consistency, ensuring they align with both the Code and Theory brand and individual client guidelines.
    • Work closely with the Creative Director and other senior designers to maintain creative integrity across all design outputs.
  • Leveraging AI Technology:
    • Use AI-powered design tools and automation software to optimize workflows, such as AI-assisted resizing, template generation, and batch production processes.
    • Ensure the use of AI is supportive of creative endeavors, helping to streamline repetitive tasks and enable faster production cycles without compromising on the quality or craft of the design work.
    • Experiment with generative design tech (e.g., MidJourney, Runway, Adobe Firefly) to explore new creative possibilities and expand design horizons.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Partner with Project Managers, Creative Directors, and other team leads to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and at the highest standard.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative discussions to contribute ideas and influence the overall direction of design projects.
    • Work with other designers, junior team members, and external collaborators to execute a unified vision across various project types.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
    • Stay updated with industry trends, design tools, and new AI capabilities, integrating them into your workflow to enhance productivity and the creative output of the team.
    • Contribute to the development of new design techniques and best practices that help scale production and improve efficiency while maintaining a high level of creativity.
  • Mentorship & Team Development:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, offering feedback on creative work and helping them improve their skills and understanding of design processes.
    • Lead by example, setting high standards for design and creative processes, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the design team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in production design, with a strong background in delivering assets across multiple channels (print, digital, social media, CRM, etc.).
  • Creative Expertise: Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, and other industry-standard design software.
  • Social-First Thinking: Expertise in designing for social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.), with a strong understanding of the unique design and content requirements for each.
  • AI Proficiency: Familiarity with AI design tools (Adobe Firefly, MidJourney, Runway) and a proven ability to integrate them into your workflow for efficiency and enhanced creativity.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in design execution, ensuring all assets are polished, accurate, and of the highest quality before delivery.
  • Branding: Deep understanding of brand guidelines and experience working within established brand frameworks to create consistent and compelling designs.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments (e.g., project management, creative, tech) and adapt to client feedback.
  • Mentorship: Experience mentoring junior designers, offering guidance on design techniques, feedback on creative work, and advice on professional development.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team to find innovative solutions to design challenges.

This is a full-time role, based in the United States. The target range of base compensation for this role is $95,000-$115,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience and location.
