Position: Sr. Product Owner - NAF Link
Salary: $130K - $150K/yr d.o.e.
Location: Remote OK (If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work 2 days on-site)
Position Summary
The Senior Product Owner is pivotal in partnering with our product managers to assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories on NAF Link. NAF Link represents the next generation of Point of Sale (POS) technology, designed to revolutionize the loan origination experience through intuitive and innovative technology. Its primary goal is to empower Loan Officers to convert more leads into closed clients seamlessly.
As the subject matter expert for NAF Link, the Senior Product Owner ensures that it aligns perfectly with New American Funding's product strategy, emphasizing a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and streamlining the loan origination process. Core responsibilities encompass managing, developing, and prioritizing NAF Link backlogs, along with ensuring that user stories are ready for implementation and complete with clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities
- Perform effective product backlog management, developing product backlog items, communicating product goals, prioritizing product backlog work items, and ensuring that those work items are visible, understood, and transparent by stakeholders and the scrum team.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to define a product strategy and roadmap that maximizes the product's value to the business while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Work in an agile environment and continuously review business needs with the product team.
- Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Understand scrum team throughput to ensure transparency to stakeholders regarding the product backlog and delivery expectations.
- Builds and maintains a running groomed backlog of several sprints worth of work
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress and ensuring the product delivery plan is current.
- Working with product, UX, and tech teams in the development of user stories
- Plays an active role in mitigating impediments to ensure successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Support scrum master in daily scrum activities
- Implement and refine consistently our Agile/Scrum best practices and trends
Qualifications
Desired Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, business, or related discipline
- At least 5+ years’ experience as a product owner or in a similar role.
- Prior experience building enterprise or internal products
- Knowledge of the mortgage industry is mandatory
- Proficient in agile methodology
Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
