Position: Sr. Product Owner - Consumer Web Portal

Salary:  $130K - $150K/yr d.o.e.

Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

Position Summary

The Senior Product Owner for NAF Hub Web is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product solutions that enhance the consumer web experience for New American Funding’s digital mortgage application platform. This role focuses on the web portal that enables consumers to seamlessly apply for mortgages, manage their loan applications, and interact with loan officers intuitively and efficiently.

As the subject matter expert for web-based consumer applications in the mortgage sector, the Senior Product Owner focuses on translating product features into actionable user stories while ensuring that NAF Hub Web aligns with the execution of New American Funding’s product strategy. This role works closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable product enhancements while driving continuous improvements in user experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership & Direction: Manage backlog readiness by refining user stories, ensuring development teams have clear requirements, and aligning work with business priorities to maximize value delivery.
• Product Prioritization & Planning: Work with stakeholders to identify high-value features/user stories, assess dependencies, and determine prioritization based on business impact, user value, and technical feasibility.
• User Story Definition & Documentation: Develop comprehensive user stories with clear acceptance criteria to support development teams in delivering functional and high-quality solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity in product expectations.
• Agile Execution & Sprint Readiness: Participate in Agile ceremonies, refine backlog items, and ensure sprint deliverables align with product goals and timelines.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics, customer insights, and user feedback to drive enhancements and improve product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, business, or related discipline
• At least 5+ years experience as a product owner or in a similar role.
• At least 3+ years experience in building B2C web (desktop and mobile) product development

• • Experience in Mortgage Lending is required
  • Proficient in agile methodology
