About the Role
Mixpanel's product marketing team plays a critical role in bringing new features to market, shaping compelling messaging, and ensuring our products resonate with target audiences. We are looking for a strategic and customer-focused Senior Product Marketing Manager who excels in research, messaging, and launching features. This person will collaborate closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies for new features and enhancements.
This individual will be responsible for developing messaging that clearly communicates the value and benefits of our products, conducting market research to inform product positioning, and working cross-functionally to align on strategies. They will bring the voice of the customer into the product development process and drive the launch of new features, ensuring that they meet the needs of our market and resonate with prospective customers.
Responsibilities
- Own go-to-market strategies for new features and product enhancements, collaborating with product management and sales to ensure launches are successful and aligned with business goals.
- Craft positioning and messaging that clearly articulates the value and differentiation of Mixpanel’s features, grounded in customer insights and competitive research.
- Lead market and customer research to identify customer pain points, market trends, and opportunities, using these insights to shape product direction and messaging.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to provide input on the product roadmap, ensuring that product decisions are informed by market needs and customer feedback.
- Drive sales enablement by developing compelling collateral and training materials that help sales teams effectively position new features and win deals.
- Work with demand generation, content, and field marketing to create integrated campaigns that build awareness and drive adoption of new features, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
- Monitor the performance of new feature launches, analyzing data to evaluate their success and making adjustments to the messaging or strategy as needed.
- Foster a customer-first mindset, ensuring that all messaging and marketing efforts reflect the needs and preferences of our target audiences.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor moves to ensure Mixpanel remains differentiated and innovative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully taking features or products to market, with experience in developing messaging and positioning that resonates with customers.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer insights and market data into actionable marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives that connect with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, influence product direction, and align stakeholders around a cohesive go-to-market plan.
- Creative problem-solver with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving business impact.
Compensation
The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
