Senior Product Manager, Technical Platform

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Platform Product Manager to join our dynamic Global Product Management team.

 

The successful candidate will drive the development and implementation of common software, DSP (digital signal processing), and firmware requirements across all Shure products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistency, security, connectivity, user experience, modularity, and ease of connectivity, provisioning, and monitoring that define Shure’s product signature. The platform requirements will also drive efficiency in business workflows and enhance the overall customer experience (CX). Furthermore, there will be a strong emphasis on common libraries, seamless integration, and interoperability with both Shure devices and third-party cloud solutions, ensuring all devices can be managed consistently with ShureCloud.

 

This role can be remote in the US, or hybrid based in our Niles, IL location. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute the platform strategy for Shure’s common software, DSP, and firmware requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and product roadmaps.
  • Requirement Definition: Define and prioritize platform product requirements, focusing on security, management, connectivity, and user experience to drive consistency and excellence across all Shure devices while improving business workflows and enhancing customer experience.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other product teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of platform features.
  • Interoperability and Integration: Ensure common libraries and interoperability between Shure devices and third-party cloud solutions. Drive seamless integration and interoperability to maximize functionality and user experience.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of platform features, from conception through development, launch, and post-launch enhancements.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the audio technology industry, ensuring Shure remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding platform product updates, issues, and enhancements.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure platform features meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Business Workflows and CX: Develop platform features that streamline business workflows and elevate the customer experience (CX), ensuring ease of use and satisfaction.
  • Consistent Management with ShureCloud: Ensure that all devices can be managed consistently through ShureCloud for streamlined provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, preferably within the audio technology or electronics industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of DSP, software, and firmware development processes, with a proven track record of managing complex technical products.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product initiatives to successful completion.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable product requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a diverse audience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the professional audio and microphone industry and Shure’s product portfolio.
  • Security and Connectivity: Experience with product security, network connectivity, and user management in embedded systems.
  • User Experience and CX: A strong understanding of UX principles and how they apply to modular and integrated product ecosystems, with a focus on enhancing customer experience (CX).
  • Business Workflow Optimization: Experience in designing product features that optimize business workflows and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Integration and Interoperability: Demonstrated expertise in developing solutions that enable seamless integration and interoperability with third-party cloud services and platforms.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The base salary range for this position is between $99,200 - $220,700. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for this opportunity. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year.  If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
