The Opportunity

The Senior Product Manager - Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for leading the development and execution of the product strategy for revenue cycle management solutions. This includes identifying market opportunities, developing product roadmaps along with feature requirements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. 

 

The Clinical and Operational Platforms team is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Sr. Product Manager to own, shape and drive the go-to-market strategy for the back office Practice Management technology our service lines will need to excel as a next generation virtual practice. The role has an emphasis on the tools and processes needed to optimize operational efficiency, improve our coordination with health plans including revenue cycle, billing, medical record and audit compliance, prior authorizations, and health plan eligibility. As a product leader on the Clinical and Operational Platforms Product team, you will be focused on the foundational technology strategy associated with these functions for our service lines while ensuring the technology is extensible to all offerings.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and external Vendors for integration needs. Also, the candidate should have a technical background and a desire (and proven ability) to deliver results at scale. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product strategy for revenue cycle charge capture and claims management for back-office Practice Management including but not limited to revenue cycle, billing, coding, claims, prior authorizations, and eligibility.  

  • Identify workflow optimization and automation opportunities for middle and back end revenue cycle operations and develop product backlog of user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, design, data science, implementation, and client management to deliver products utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies. 

  • Ensure product quality by performing user acceptance testing to validate functionality meets the requirements and specs.

  • Define product metrics aligned with company goals, track and analyze product performance against the metrics to inform decision-making.

  • Collaborate with customers and partners to gather feedback and integrate it into product development.

  • Prioritize features and stories by balancing stakeholder interests, user needs, technology direction and product strategy.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Focus on building scalable solutions that are reusable, operationally efficient, reliable and can support high growth.

  • Be accountable for ensuring secure, accurate, and scalable data exchange across platforms to drive integrated solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • A 4-year college degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent in relevant work experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on revenue cycle management solutions.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare professional billing, reimbursement, and coding as well as experience working directly with health plans.

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, Payer platforms and Revenue Cycle Management processes and workflows.

  • Experience with writing user stories and acceptance criteria, grooming backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements.

  • Self-organized with strong leadership skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and SMEs.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities by making tough trade-off decisions between scope and schedule while maintaining true focus on outcomes.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Agile development processes to manage product lifecycles efficiently. 

Bonus Qualifications 

  • Experience working with EDI transactions such as 835/837, 276/277.

  • Experience working with clinical interoperability standards such as HL7, XDS, Direct Secure Messaging, and FHIR.

  • Experience managing multi-tenant SaaS software products.

  • Proficient with SQL and comfortable diving deep into data.

The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
