Steno is growing and we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our winning team which is revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day. We’re a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond), and we’re crazy about redefining the boundaries of an outdated industry.

In this role, you’ll own the full client-facing product experience at Steno — leading the vision, roadmap, and execution across generative AI tools like Transcript Genius, Steno Connect, our game-changing remote litigation platform, and the broader suite of features that power our clients' day-to-day work.

Who are you?

We’re looking for a technically adept product leader to own and shape our entire client-facing experience, including Transcript Genius as a key generative AI tool for our clients. In this role, you’ll define and execute the vision for legal professionals engaging with our platform, driving innovation and usability at scale. You’ll also lead a cross-functional dev squad, ensuring alignment across engineering, design, and business teams to deliver high-impact solutions that improve client workflows and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, autonomous problem-solver who brings clarity to ambiguity – transforming undefined challenges into cohesive, scalable product experiences. You have a strong technical foundation, enabling you to collaborate effectively with engineers while also advocating for user needs and business outcomes.

You excel at navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments, aligning teams around a shared vision, and making informed, data-driven decisions. As the Product Manager for our client-facing products, including Transcript Genius, you'll drive its gen AI capabilities and overall product experience forward. You'll identify new opportunities to meaningfully improve the litigation process while maintaining our high bar for solving real problems that deliver concrete value to our users.

On a regular basis, you will: 

• Own the entire client-facing experience, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and efficient product journey.
• Lead the product strategy and execution for Transcript Genius, Steno Connect, and the Firm Dashboard, integrating them as key components of the overall client experience.
• Drive generative AI innovation across Steno’s product suite, identifying opportunities to enhance automation and efficiency.
• Lead and manage a cross-functional squad, ensuring alignment between engineering, design, and business teams while driving execution on high-impact initiatives.
• Define and prioritize the client-facing product roadmap, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility to deliver measurable impact.
• Bring structure to ambiguity—transforming complex problems into actionable plans and executing them efficiently.
• Own and optimize key client-facing workflows, ensuring frictionless interactions between legal professionals and our platform.
• Develop a deep understanding of our users through research, data analysis, and direct engagement, advocating for their needs in every decision.
• Partner closely with engineering to drive technical execution, ensuring high-quality and scalable product development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company, ensuring buy-in and alignment on key product initiatives.

You’re gonna crush it if:

• You have 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years managing full product lifecycles from vision to optimization, preferably with AI, SaaS, or legal tech products.
• Strong technical acumen—able to communicate effectively with engineers and understand AI/ML capabilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (squad leadership) to drive complex product initiatives.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of clarifying ambiguous situations.
• Strong UX and design intuition, ensuring seamless client experiences.
• Hospitality mindset—thrives in fast-paced environments and collaborates with empathy and poise under pressure.

Bonus points if: 

• You have experience in UI/UX design using tools like Figma
• You have experience with user analytics software like Mixpanel
• You have experience with two-sided marketplace platforms
• You have experience with data analytics systems like Looker 
• You have experience with Zendesk
• You have experience with Hubspot
• You have experience with a start-up

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $160k-$175k

The Product team is a highly reliable, innovation-driven group responsible for building the technology that powers Steno's services. We work cross-functionally to conduct user research, define new product features, and pitch product strategy to stakeholders, collaborating closely with Engineering and Design teams to bring ideas to life. This multi-time-zone team values asynchronous work to maximize flexibility and efficiency, ensuring seamless collaboration across diverse locations.
