Department: Product

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Remote Canada

Reporting To: Andrew Baldanza

Compensation: $108,100 - $162,200 / year

Description

As the Senior Product Designer for Core Experience, you will play a central role in shaping the design and user experience of the AgencyAnalytics platform. The Core Experience squad is responsible for addressing design challenges and driving UX improvements that connect and integrate the suite of products available in AgencyAnalytics. Examples of past projects from this squad include a redesign of the platform’s information architecture and navigational UI, the design of the new client “profile” page, and the unification of the integration management experience across the platform.

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will be a part of a growing Product Design team of 7+ people. You will work day-to-day in a closely-knit triad, which includes a Staff Product Manager and a Senior Engineering Manager. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver an exceptional user experience for our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Design of Core Experience: Own the end-to-end design process for projects and initiatives within the Core Experience squad.
  • Contribute to Strategy: Help drive roadmap and squad strategy within Core Experience, by using research and heuristic analysis to identify opportunities to improve platform UX.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and engineers within your team, as well as stakeholders from Product Marketing, Data Analytics, and the broader Product Design team to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions.
  • User-Centered Design: Spend approximately 20% of your time conducting user research, including usability tests, to ensure design decisions are grounded in user needs and feedback.
  • Balance Strategic Input with Execution: Set a confident design direction, but actively seek input from peers, product leaders, and senior stakeholders to ensure your work aligns with business goals and team objectives.
  • Data-Driven Design: Leverage data and feedback from analytics, research, and usability testing to inform design decisions. Experience with designing data products is highly valued.
  • Documentation & Communication: Effectively communicate your design rationale and decisions to cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Mentorship (Informal): Provide informal mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level designers, helping them grow their skills and navigate design challenges.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in product design, ideally within SaaS, with a strong balance of UI and UX design impact.
  • User-Centered Design Expertise: Proven track record of designing intuitive, user-focused experiences, particularly in data-heavy or B2B products.
  • Research Skills: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and leveraging feedback to drive design improvements.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners, including PMs, engineers, data analysts, and product marketers.
  • Initiative & Ownership: Highly proactive and comfortable taking ownership of design projects, with the ability to balance leadership with collaboration and feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in design execution, particularly in how complex data is presented and interpreted by users.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders across different teams.

Why You Should Join Us
  • Tooling & Budget: Great designers need great tools, which is why you’ll have access to…
    • A full Figma license including dev mode, to support smooth hand-off to developers
    • A robust and well-maintained design system, supported by a dedicated designer and a team of front-end developers
    • A state-of-the-art research repository, complete with AI analysis and synthesis capabilities, and powerful UX research platforms like Maze and UXTweak
  • Research participant recruitment tools and a budget to incentivize participation
  • Supportive Leadership: A great user experience is one of the things that sets AgencyAnalytics apart from our competitors, making it critical to our business strategy and success. This means that leadership at all levels are bought into the importance
