Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Senior Principal Financial Support Specialist will be responsible for technical and management activities associated with foundry semiconductor equipment engineering.

This position is remote and will support the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman’s ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics and SLCFET. Our devices enable several Northrop Grumman’s ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. The candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multi-talented. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic process engineering is essential.

Job Summary:

The position of Senior Principal Financial Support Specialist, reports directly to the Senior manager of ATL.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Principal Financial Support Specialist  to play a pivotal role in directly supporting the financial needs of our Business Management, Process Engineering, and Continuous Improvement groups. Your primary duties will involve coordinating these teams and ensuring their financial requirements are effectively met.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial planning and budgeting

  • Track expenses and analyze financial data to provide insights

  • Facilitate communication between groups to ensure efficient financial strategies

  • Support operational and strategic initiatives to help teams achieve their goals

  • Maintain financial sustainability and optimization practices

  • Oversee the execution of existing service contracts and ensure the vendor meets all contractual requirements.

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to implement necessary changes within the organization, with primary objectives to improve equipment safety, equipment uptime, and process capabilities.

  • Implement industry standard KPIs, such as M-ratio, uptime% and PM success rate. 

  • Ensures data is accurate and meets deadlines prior to initiating detailed design

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of experience in Project Management in a manufacturing and/or petrochemical industry or comparable.
  • Experience with project management software (MS Projects, JIRA, SAP) to control scope, schedule and budget.
  • Self-managing, proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to work across business functions
  • Proven skills/experience building high performing cross-functional teams and culture to achieve operational excellence and meet the expectations of internal customers/stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task when there are competing demands on you and the team
  • Ability to formulate, communicate and execute complex project plans and initiatives
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, shop floor employees, and support function employees
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • US Citizenship required

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
  • Proficient in MS Project #NGMCFab

Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
