Senior Principal Disaster Recovery Specialist - Remote

We are seeking an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of disaster recovery strategies and solutions to ensure the continuity of IT services in the event of a disaster. This role requires a proactive individual with an understanding of IT infrastructure, risk management, and disaster recovery planning. This is a fully remote position.
Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments to identify short comings within IT systems and processes surround the disaster recovery program.
Coordinate with IT departments to ensure disaster recovery plans are integrated with existing systems and practices.
Lead disaster recovery drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of recovery strategies.
Ensure service owners have educated their staff on disaster recovery protocols and procedures.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to disaster recovery.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in disaster recovery and business continuity.
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
Looking for 10 years of IT experience, and at least 3 years in disaster recovery or business continuity planning, with experience in IT Disaster Recovery Plans.
Critical thinking, demonstrated problem-solving techniques, and strong analytical skills.
Strong understanding of risk management, IT infrastructure, and business continuity principles.
Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple internal departments and external vendors.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and experience in conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and training staff on disaster recovery procedures.

$178,890This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
