We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Network Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures, with a focus on cloud environments, software-defined networking (SDN), SD-WAN, and enterprise data center environments. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of modern networking technologies and best practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in network architecture and engineering, with a focus on cloud, SDN, SD-WAN, and data center environments.

  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs).

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Equinix Edge) and data center technologies (e.g., SDN, NFV, virtualization).

  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN technologies and their implementation.

  • Experience with network security principles and practices.

  • Experience with network automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer) are highly desirable.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions for cloud, SDN, SD-WAN, and data center environments.

  • Lead the development and implementation of network strategies, standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with cloud services, SDN, SD-WAN, and data center operations.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network performance, security, and reliability.

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

  • Mentor and provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers and architects.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking, cloud computing, SDN, SD-WAN, and data center technologies.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $187,500.00 - $312,500 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
