The Oregon Health Authority has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Analyst to join an excellent team. This is an OPA4 full-time, permanent, management services position in the Health Policy and Analytics Division, Office of Health Analytics.
What you will do:
The Senior Policy Analyst position will manage, coordinate and lead policy development and analysis on several priority health policy topic areas in alignment with OHA’s strategic goal of eliminating health inequities by 2030, and other agency and statewide goals. These topic areas include but are not limited to strategies related to cost containment, coverage and access to health care, payment reform, delivery system innovations, improved health outcomes, health equity, and workforce.
This includes responsibility for providing recommendations and researching policy issues in support of the OHA Director’s office, state agencies, the Oregon Health Policy Board, partners, and other interested parties. Other activities include:
- Establishing, coordinating, leading, and facilitating internal and external health care meetings or workgroups for input as required for the development and implementation of health system transformation in Oregon.
- Conducting, scoping, and leading policy, program, and strategy research and developing health policy analyses, briefs, options memos, and reports in support of the work of the OHA and the Oregon Health Policy Board, and as requested by the Governor’s Office and the Legislature
- Supporting OHA-wide efforts on health system transformation, including providing and coordinating technical assistance to internal divisions
- Establishing, supporting, and serving as lead staff to policy committees, ensuring that meetings, materials, and members are coordinated, identified and strategically designed.
- Developing, scoping, managing, tracking, and reporting on projects
