Senior PHP Developer - Remote

 

 

We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior PHP Developer to join our team. This is a remote position, but the successful candidate must be located within the US. 

 

As a Senior PHP Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Detail design, development and unit / integration testing utilizing the appropriate methodologies, technology and tools.
• Serve as a senior technical resource on the team. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
• Practice strong configuration management and version control.
• Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality to promote client satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently with a focus on first-time quality without requiring excessive review by more senior team members.
• Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
•  Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.

 

• Passionate coder with 5+ years of application development experience.
• Breadth of experience with at least 3 years of PHP Laravel software application development experience.
• Experience working with Rest API's.
• Experience working with JWT tokens with public/private key set up.
• Experience with AWS serverless concepts and services. 
• Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Client facing and/or consulting experience is a must.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Ability to adapt and work collaboratively with other development team members as well and customer of various experience levels.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974.00 to $149,880. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
