Overview
TISTA Science and Technology is looking for a Scientific to join the team in the DMV. The Senior Pega Developer - Certified Senior System Architect (CCSA) is responsible for providing technical support and guidance on a variety of direct engineering designs, integration, and maintenance per HHS/NIH standards.
The Pega Developer - Certified Senior System Architect (CCSA) As a Pega System Architect, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary agile scrum team building, maintaining, and enhancing Pega applications that support NIH’s mission. Pega is a new technology to NIH and therefore your role is key in helping NIH staff become more efficient with a business process management tool. There will be opportunities to interface directly with the customer and educate them on Pega.
This person must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and 100% client-focused, with a continuing passion for your profession.
Responsibilities
- Establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and team members and guide them through the evaluation of Pega modules and their relevance and suitability for the organization
- Establish and lead Pega CoE, set guidance, standards, and practices needed for the successful adoption of the tool
- Plan and support strategic assessments and implementations tailored to fit the organizational need
- Utilizing industry best practices; plan and execute custom coaching plans at the Portfolio, Program, and Team level
- Lead the coaching of multiple, distributed teams using Pega
- Influence and advise at all levels of the organization to help implement recommended changes
- Work with strategic partners and stakeholders to implement cultural changes needed for successful transition and implementation
- Assess the client’s organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Pega solutions tailored to the client
- Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of iterative releases driven by the program
- Prepare and deliver progress metrics to internal and client teams using effective communication techniques
- Perform analysis, design, and change management, as needed by individual projects
- Facilitate meetings and discussions as needed for diverse and senior groups of government stakeholders and multiple contractor subject matter experts
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in BPM Methodology (Analysis, Design, Modeling, Executing, Monitoring, Optimization)
- 5-8 years of experience in the design and development of enterprise applications
- Experience and certification with Pega Systems required.
- Experience using Pega 7.0 systems (8.0 is preferable) Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, and Shell Scripting
- Familiarity with Pega Warranty / Manufacturing Frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology is preferable
- Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Ability to think creatively and strategically with a focus on achieving outcomes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate
- Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results
- A team-oriented drive and a demonstrated ability to lead by example
- Experience in a customer–facing role, including comprehending business needs, and solving complex problems
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Expertise in Pega’s AI-powered CRM Suite and knowledge of Pega Robotic Automation, Pega DevOps
- Develop solution/approach presentations for enterprise initiatives, develop prototypes for proof of concepts
- Develop a long-term solution for PEGA 508 compliance issues, Coordinate with PEGA technical supports for getting a “patch” created for known bugs/issue
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
- Pega Certified System Architect Certification (Required)
Location:

Clearance:
- The ability to obtain a government moderate background security clearance
Pay Range:
- The pay for this position ranges from $65,205 to $110,000.00.
- The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
