The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing and streamlining the day-to-day operations within the Accounts Receivable department. This role involves managing customer-facing projects, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting tax-related audits and assessments. Additionally, the Manager will identify process improvement opportunities, assist with month-end closing, and ensure consistent training and development of team members.

 

Primary Duties: 

  • Collecting timesheet data and payroll information
  • Entering data into payroll and administrative software
  • Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, etc
  • Preparing and processing paychecks and direct deposits
  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
  • Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns
  • Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations
  • Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management
  • Flexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvement
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information


 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years payroll processing experience within publicly traded environments
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage laws
  • Strong experience with Workday Payroll 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with SOX experience preferred

 

Working Conditions

Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.

Below is the US base salary for this position. Additional compensation such as Bonus, Commission, Equity and other benefits may also apply.$92,000—$126,500 USD
