Remote Position (OR/WA Only)

 

This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.  All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

The Senior Payor Contracting Analyst provides support on all aspects of payor contracting, including reviewing and recommending changes to contract language, contract modeling, maintenance of expected reimbursement systems and more complex financial analyses and reporting.  Under general supervision, serves as a contact for payors in negotiating proposed contract rates and terms, and ensures the timely renewal of contracts.  Provides support and guidance, and assists in training of other Payor Contracting specialists. Assists hospital operations/patient billing with interpretation of payor contracts, program development, and impacts of reimbursement on their departments.  Assists with strategic and financial analyses regarding payor contracting.  Other duties vary depending on departmental needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: 

  • BA in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field or equivalent experience. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five years previous experience as an accountant, financial analyst and/or auditor. 
  • Experience with health plan and/or hospital reimbursement or finance preferred.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of reimbursement principles and payment methodologies, including Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Understanding of hospital billing systems and government payment systems.
  • Knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office, EPIC, and FinThrive Contract Manager/Contract Manager Professional.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to understand and recommend improvements to contract terms and language in legal agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.

Pay Range

USD $45.66 - USD $68.04 /Hr. Apply
