What you’ll do 

  • Assist and support corporate attorneys’ legal work; act as liaison between attorneys, outside counsel, third parties, and internal stakeholders and business clients. 
  • Subject matter familiarity in health care regulatory concepts (e.g. HIPAA), data privacy and data security required, familiarity with health care benefits preferred. 
  • Develop, streamline, manage and administer internal and business-facing processes and functions including contract management, document reviews, and compliance support. 
  • Support and manage legal department operations, including contract repositories, legal templates, and assignment tracking system. 
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts and other legal documentation; Provide guidance to internal business clients on contractual obligations, risk, and corporate policies. 
  • Conduct legal research on projects as directed by attorneys. 
  • Assist with special projects and other sophisticated and/or confidential tasks as needed or assigned, such as litigation holds, state regulatory filings, data mapping exercises and enterprise risk assessments. 

What we’re looking for 

  • A bachelor's degree, associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience  
  • At least 15 years FTE experience as a paralegal supporting a high volume, in-house legal department or large law firm supporting contract administration in a highly regulated environment.  
  • Experience applying judgment to analyze variable factors in order to determine methods and procedures for new assignments and operate independently to drive the same to completion in accordance with departmental objectives 
  • Experience networking with key contacts outside own area of expertise, adapting style and using various persuasive techniques in delivering messages that relate to the wider firm business. 
  • Experience managing repositories and ticketing systems such as DocusignCLM, Jira, Confluence (or their equivalents) and Microsoft Office 
  • Experience in a fast-moving, high complexity environment. 

As a remote, hourly position, the pay for this role is: 

  • $57.00-$62.50/hr 

Total Rewards 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.  

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location  

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
