As a Senior or Principal Process Improvement Consultant, you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement. Collaborating with cross-functional teams at all levels, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

As a Senior or Principal Process Improvement Specialist, you will lead process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and employee engagement. You will collaborate with cross functional teams at all levels of the organization to drive meaningful transformation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Lead Process Improvement Initiatives

  • Establish and optimize business process improvement efforts using Lean methodologies.

  • Drive moderate to complex projects focused on enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall performance.

  • Identify process inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement sustainable improvements.

Facilitate Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement guidelines, targets, and standards for monitoring and measuring results.

  • Conduct in-depth process assessments, analyzing existing workflows, identifying pain points and designing Lean solutions to enhance operational performance.

  • Lead workshops and training sessions to foster Lean thinking across the organization.

Project & Change Management

  • Manage tactical and strategic projects aimed at cost reduction, enhanced customer experience, and operational efficiency.

  • Facilitate change management, influencing cultural shifts toward continuous improvement and business success.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and product teams to identify process gaps and implement solutions.

Process Performance Measurement

  • Collect and analyze data to measure process performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights for ongoing process refinement.

  • Develop key metrics to measure process improvements and identify indicators for future opportunities.

Thought Leadership

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging engagement and participation in Lean initiatives and process improvement activities.

Additional Responsibilities for the Principal Role

  • Mentor and coach business process improvement team on Lean methodologies.

  • Advance Lean methodologies, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the team’s effectiveness.

  • Deliver training programs and guidance to business partners on Lean principles, driving adoption across teams.

  • Evaluate existing tools and frameworks, recommending updates based on industry trends and organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.

  • At least four years of experience in process improvement and analysis. (Senior: 4–9 years; Principal: 10+ years)

  • Strong knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Proven experience facilitating continuous improvement events.

  • Strong project management skills, including knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Expertise in change management and influencing organizational transformation.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex processes and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at various levels.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility and promote ideas persuasively.

  • Experience delivering training and facilitating workshops on Lean methodologies.

  • Proficiency in business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Outlook, and specialized tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence and Miro.

Texas Mutual Pay Transparency

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.

Base Pay Range: $109,984.90 - $164,394.30 Per Year

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
