Harbor Compliance is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our company's growth by developing and executing innovative marketing strategies tailored to generate new client leads and increase Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) through direct sales channels. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-growth environment, possess a sharp analytical mind, and have a proven track record in direct sales and digital marketing. B2B or professional services experience is required, and experience at a startup is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience building a marketing organization across multiple specialties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Design and implement effective marketing campaigns to generate high-quality leads for the direct sales team, focusing on maximizing new ARR.
  • Strategy Development: Develop strategic marketing initiatives based on deep market analysis and understanding of the target audience to capture market share and enter new markets.
  • Campaign Management: Manage all aspects of marketing campaigns, from creative development through execution and performance analysis, ensuring alignment with growth objectives.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation and ARR growth to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, product, and analytics teams to optimize the sales funnel and align strategies.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to anticipate market shifts and position the company as a leader in compliance solutions.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee the creation of compelling content that resonates with target audiences and drives conversions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the development of a marketing team across multiple specialties, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and direct sales in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • B2B or professional services experience required.
  • Proven success in developing marketing strategies that have directly contributed to increased revenue and business growth.
  • Experience building and leading a marketing organization across multiple specialties (e.g., digital marketing, content creation, lead generation).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and strategy development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct work experience with entity, licensing, tax, and/or records management solutions or services.
  • Experience in a startup environment is preferred.
  • Direct experience in a $30-50M annual revenue, 175-500 employee environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Direct experience using Hubspot, Jira, and Zendesk.

Compensation: 

Harbor Compliance’s base salary range for this role is listed below. Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of Harbor Compliance’s total compensation package. Other benefits may include health benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k), and educational reimbursement. Note that the salary range and benefits apply only to U.S.-based candidates.


Harbor Compliance base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:

(Salary range $100,000 - $125,000). Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
