Senior Manager/Associate Director, FP&A - Mammoth Brisbane, CA

OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for an experienced and system savvy Sr. Manager/Associate Director, FP&A  with excellent data analysis skills to join our growing finance/accounting team to assist the VP, Finance with building out the FP&A function and provide analytical/decision support to our management team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast and long-range plan in ensuring alignment with corporate goals 
  • Perform financial analysis and management reporting to functional teams on strategic planning, budgeting and operations planning
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly BvA and dashboard reporting using Adaptive Planning software 
  • Implement FP&A software and data automation projects 
  • Perform analysis of standard product costs, labor and overhead allocations and profit margins
  • Provide financial support for growth initiatives including product development, research partnerships/collaborations, commercialization and capital expenditure projects  
  • Support financial close activities and financial audits 
  • Participate in FP&A initiatives including identifying opportunities for process improvements 
  • Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics 
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in FP&A; 10+ years for Associate Director level
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite and MS office Suite 
  • Proficient in NetSuite and Adaptive Planning or similar software 
  • Experience with financial system implementation 
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
  • High attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours
  • Ability to travel quarterly to our Brisbane, CA location

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA 
  • Start-up experience 
  • Experience in Life Sciences sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
