Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Advanced Structures Group (ASG) in the capacity of Senior Manager Supplier Performance. As a pivotal member of the ASG Continuous Improvement Team, your role will be dedicated to orchestrating, organizing, and facilitating execution of all facets of key supplier continuous improvement evolution and refinement. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and fostering process enhancements at selected suppliers.

A core aspect of your role will involve collaborating closely with key suppliers, fostering productive relationships through on-site visits. These visits will serve as opportunities to evaluate existing knowledge frameworks, operational modalities, and process efficacy, identifying gaps and areas for enhancement. Subsequently, you will lead the coordination and execution of training, improvement initiatives and activities aimed at closing these gaps, mitigating risks, and overcoming obstacles to sustainably to elevate supplier performance to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Location: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with engagements at supplier sites as well as meetings held at Collins facilities in Chula Vista or Riverside as required. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

What You Will Do

  • Direct strategic Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives for our key suppliers, driving transformative change.

  • Employ robust change management practices to instigate initiatives, optimize processes, and embed a culture of Continuous Improvement (CORE) throughout the organization and along the value stream.

  • Strategize, orchestrate, and facilitate VSM/Kaizen/CI events and transformational projects.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to assess current supplier processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and improvement targets.

  • Oversee the annual Policy Deployment and Macro Planning cycle, ensuring its dynamic adaptation to the evolving needs of the organization.

  • Provide guidance and training to leaders on the utilization of quality and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Mentor and equip team members, business leaders, and staff with practical expertise in applying CORE principles.

  • Foster transparent communication of implementation progress across all teams and locations within the organization.

  • Aid the Subsystems organization in aligning and achieving annual improvement objectives.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating existing supplier processes and identifying and executing improvement opportunities in alignment with organizational goals and improvement targets.
