THE JOB: Senior Manager, SCC Strategic Initiatives

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $108,651 - $135,813

Reporting to the Vice President, Shared Care Committee and Strategic Initiatives, the Senior Manager, SCC Strategic Initiatives provides leadership to provincial priorities and initiatives as directed by the Shared Care Committees, JCCs, and the Physician Services Committee. The role will lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans to support identified priorities. The Senior Manager will lead a team within the SCC Strategic Initiatives portfolio to engage and involve physicians, other providers, and system partners to advance health system improvement for specific patient populations and health system priorities (e.g. cancer care, mental health and addictions, seniors care).

 WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or graduate university degree and/or recognized professional designation, and up to six years of progressive and related experience.
  • An equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of a specific discipline in the health, not-for-profit, government or business sector and operational knowledge in the area of expertise.
  • Proven ability to understand cross-department impact and provide significant input and recommendations regarding the department plan and strategies.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify issues, gathers facts and resolves operational problems.
  • Ability to collaborate with other leaders in the organization to resolve strategic issues.
  • Experience in managing a wide variety of projects as opportunities arise from normal department operations and may be sought for input in areas of expertise.
  • Responsible for making decisions on performance, discipline, and hiring for the team.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing landscape while meeting project deadlines and deliverables as position has direct impact on the team and may impact the entire organization.
  • Experience with stakeholder relations and managing teams in complex systems.
  • Project and budget management experience, including experience with planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.
  • Excellent financial management skills and high financial literacy.
  • Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication
