THE JOBSenior Manager, Practice Transformation

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $116,920 - $146,150

Reporting to the Director, Practice Transformation, the Senior Manager oversees the Health Technology (HT) Service Delivery portfolio. The Sr. Manager directly supervises Service Delivery Managers of three teamlets within the health technology portfolio: PSP Panel Management, PSP Health Technology, and the Doctors Technology Office (DTO), and program staff.

The Sr. Manager is responsible for service delivery improvements, evaluation, and reporting specific to HT practice supports, including services focused on panel management, EMR optimization, clinic security, virtual care, AI supports, and provincial digital health platforms and initiatives.

The Sr. Manager also endeavours to maximize the efficient and collaborative delivery of the Practice Transformation team’s services as a whole and works synergistically with the Sr. Managers of the other PT Service Delivery portfolios (Quality Improvement (x2) and Team-Based Care).

Lastly, working with the Director, the Sr. Manager also ensures that the delivery of practice support services are aligned with strategic directives of the FPSC, liaising with regional and local partners (Divisions of Family Practice, Health Authorities, Ministry of Health) as well as the Doctors of BC Digital Health and Privacy team as needed.

 WHAT YOU BRING 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or recognized professional designation, and eight years of progressive and related experience; or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education 
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing programs related to business operations and analysis.   
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team and in motivating and guiding team members. 
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing landscape while meeting project deadlines and deliverables as this position has direct impact on the team and may impact the entire organization. 
  • Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system. Understanding of medical staff clinics and practices is an asset.   
  • Knowledge of Doctors of BC and its associated programs is an asset.    
  • Project and budget management experience, including experience with planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.  
  • Ability to collaborate with other leaders and managers to resolve strategic issues and operational problems 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholder groups. 
  • Effective writing and presentation skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Must be willing to travel within the province.
