The Opportunity:
We are seeking a results-driven and imaginative Senior Manager, Performance Creative to spearhead the creative strategy and execution for our performance marketing initiatives. As the creative visionary within the Performance Marketing pod of our Growth team, you will collaborate with internal teams, video editors, and graphic designers to bring bold, innovative advertising concepts to life.

We're looking for someone eager to dive into the world of a multi-million-dollar paid social operation. You’ll be responsible for crafting and testing performance-driven creative assets for channels like Meta, TikTok, YouTube and beyond, driving measurable business impact through engaging content. Your expertise in scripting, producing, and optimizing high-performing creator-driven content will be crucial in expanding our paid UGC program.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Growth (Paid Acquisition), you’ll contribute directly to the strategy that powers Caraway’s growth, while shaping our creative playbook for performance marketing success.

Who You Are: 
As the Senior Manager, Performance Creative, you will be a driving force in shaping Caraway’s creative strategy, leveraging your expertise in paid media to scale performance across digital channels. With a deep focus on Meta and TikTok, you will develop innovative ad concepts that acquire customers, resonate with audiences, and drive measurable business results.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of ideating, testing, and optimizing high-performing creative assets while collaborating with internal creative teams, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders. Your ability to balance data-driven insights with bold, imaginative thinking will be pivotal in shaping our creative direction and contributing to the growth of a fast-evolving, innovative brand.

Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership and Strategy

  • Serve as the creative leader, bridging performance marketing goals with innovative creative solutions
  • Develop and champion bold creative concepts informed by customer insights, platform trends, and performance data
  • Transform ideas into detailed briefs for video editors, graphic designers, and creators to execute compelling ad campaigns

Creative Execution and Feedback

  • Provide constructive and actionable feedback on video assets and demonstrate the ability to offer thoughtful edits to enhance creative quality
  • Provide clear direction for copy, wireframing landing pages, creator/UGC content, and managing video editors

Testing and Optimization

  • Own a comprehensive testing roadmap for new creative concepts, ensuring a continuous cycle of net new ads and innovation
  • Collaborate with the performance and creative team to test, iterate, optimize, and scale winning campaign creatives and messaging

Insights and Performance Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze ad platform data, product sales data, market insights, overall performance of creative content, and the competitor landscape to derive insights and guide the development of new briefs and angles for each product
  • Provide detailed reports on creative performance to the wider growth team with discovered insights and suggestions for any optimizations or opportunities

Industry Trends and Opportunity Identification

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, social media platform updates, and best practices
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table, identifying new opportunities to engage audiences and elevate Caraway’s content

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Management

  • Act as the quarterback for creative projects, managing and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and external partners on a regular basis (this includes providing feedback, briefing concepts, managing production timelines and delivering final assets for ad flighting, etc). 
  • Collaborate closely with brand, design, and media planning teams to align creative output with campaign goals and timelines

UGC Content and Creator Management

  • Craft detailed monthly content creator briefs, including shot lists and voiceover guidelines, to ensure clear direction and alignment with creative goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with content creators to consistently deliver top-performing assets.

Resource Management & Leadership

  • Partner with leadership to assess internal and external resourcing needs, balancing full-time hires, contractors, and agency support to scale the creative function effectively.
  • Create and develop processes and workflows to optimize creative operations and lay the groundwork for building a dedicated creative pod within the Growth team, with the potential to take on team management as the function evolves.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a creative strategy or performance marketing role in a DTC environment
  • 3+ years working with Meta Ads manager
  • 1+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Advanced experience working with creative ads and briefing
  • Solid understanding of the creative production process, as relates to advertising
  • Enthusiasm for social and digital channels
  • Hunger to continue to learn new skills
  • Applicants should have a drive to understand ‘What makes a winning ad?’ 
  • Strong copywriter and can write effective, consumer-centric copy
  • Strong analytical skills, with familiarity of performance metrics and performance funnels across platforms
  • Strong idea generation and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in project management

The anticipated base salary range for this role ​is $110,000 - $130,000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
