Senior Manager of Instructional Design (Sales)

Summary

Workiva is looking for a Sr. Manager of Instructional Design to work as part of the Global Sales Communications and Content Operations organization .  You will work cross-functionally within the Go-To-Market organization to create best-in-class learning experiences that drive global revenue growth. You will refine and build a broad catalog of curricula and content to support the skills, knowledge, and processes that drive Workiva go-to-market using a broad range of delivery modes.

We are looking for someone with experience in applying knowledge of learning science, design, and instructional technologies that scale. What You’ll Do

  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders to understand business and learning needs and drive solutions

  • Cross-collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs in Sales Enablement, Commercial Operations, Product Marketing, and Sales Leadership to define learning objectives and develop knowledge assessments

  • Design learning experiences through engaging activities and practice

  • Develop participant and trainer materials using a variety of delivery platforms 

  • Support the communication of learning deliverables to the appropriate audiences

  • Utilize the organization's methodologies, tools, and templates to develop learning deliverables

  • Align training goals with overall corporate and departmental objectives

  • Evaluate and enhance the overall content design of existing Workiva curricula

  • Own the worldwide instructional design strategy, including the standards, managing the program design process, and partnering with global learning program owners to create high-impact learning experiences

  • Own the strategy for content quality to ensure bar-raising learning experiences

  • Apply knowledge of measurement for leadership offerings, especially in setting up evaluation strategies

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years related experience, or Master’s degree with minimum of 6 years related experience, or PhD with 4 years related experience

  • Experience creating curricula and assessments for sales audiences

  • Proficiency with content creation tools like: Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, or Canva

  • Experience utilizing Highspot

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years direct people management experience, including supervisory experience of entry-level managers and/or established individual contributors

  • Experience creating curricula for the go-to-market tech stack including Highspot, Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, and SalesLoft

  • Experience with Command of the Message methodology preferred

  • Banking or financial services industry experience preferred 

  • Proven expertise in designing self-guided and instructor-led development solutions that scale
