The Senior Manager, Global Trade Investigations will assess compliance with global trade internal policies and regulations and, where appropriate, disclose violations of global trade laws and regulations to the relevant governmental agencies. The selected candidate will serve in Collins’ Central Global Trade team within the Legal, Contracts and Compliance function and will report to the Director & Assistant General Counsel, Global Trade. 

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluating, via interviews and document review, alleged violations of global trade internal policies and regulations.

  • Managing an active caseload, consistent with internal and US Government deadlines, using RTX’s matter-management tool.

  • Working collaboratively with members of Collins Aerospace’s broader Global Trade team to identify the root causes of regulatory violations and to develop robust corrective actions.

  • Briefing RTX and Collins Aerospace leadership on status of ongoing global trade investigations.

  • Drafting disclosures to US Government agencies regarding violations of the ITAR and EAR.

  • Documenting the closure of matters that do not give rise to a reasonable suspicion of a regulatory violation.

  • Reporting on Collins Aerospace internal and US Government data requests.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required 

  • 5+ years experience with export controls (ITAR/EAR)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience in global trade investigations.

  • Experience drafting disclosures to US government agencies

  • Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience.

  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and identify potential trends or issues.

  • Prior experience with root cause corrective actions

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.  

*This position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
