About the Team
We’re a close-knit group of engineers dedicated to solving sophisticated challenges at the intersection of software and solar technology. We bring together deep expertise across frontend, backend, and solar domain knowledge to develop innovative solutions that automate the design and permitting of solar systems. Fully remote and highly collaborative, we adopt a pragmatic agile approach, focusing on delivering value to our customers while maintaining a healthy, sustainable pace.
About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned, people-first Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and grow this talented team. Your primary focus will be building a culture of excellence through coaching, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration — all while ensuring the team delivers high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
This is a high-impact role that requires technical fluency, strong process thinking, and a passion for helping engineers thrive. You’ll be the critical link between engineering, product, design, and go-to-market teams as we enhance our platform’s capabilities and expand into new jurisdictions.
Your Impact
As a servant leader, you will work jointly with the team to set the strategy and execute on the development of services and components to build a first-class enterprise platform for our customers
Collaborate closely with PMs, Designers, and GTM partners to manage execution on product-facing engineering pods
Coach and mentor team members, helping them grow in their careers while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
Continuously refine how we work to improve visibility, reduce friction, and drive better collaboration across pods
Work closely with other engineering managers to establish best practices and ensure alignment across teams
What You Bring
4+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams of 3 or more
Thoughtful, humble, and people-centric leadership style, rooted in the principles of servant leadership
Process-oriented while remaining flexible enough to adapt to changing needs
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing speed with quality
Proven ability to build, retain, and develop distributed teams in a remote-first environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for technical teams, cross-functional peers, and leadership
Proficient in working cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to align on priorities and execution
A strong technical ability to guide architecture and craftsmanship
Nice to Haves
Academic background in electronics, optimization, or software engineering
Academic or hands-on experience in electrical engineering, solar design, or building codes.
Experience with CAD tools
