About The Role & Team

Amplitude is kicking off an important new phase of growth and innovation, and we're looking for a talented, motivated individual to play a leading role on our communications team. The Senior Manager, Communications will be pivotal in shaping, communicating, and promoting our company story. This highly visible position reports to the Director of Communications and sits on the Corporate Marketing team. It involves regular interaction with executive leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and global program management.  

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will:

  • Lead Public Relations Efforts: Drive day-to-day public relations activities, including media strategy, content creation, executive thought leadership, company announcements, and customer storytelling.
  • Support Global Communications: Collaborate with international teams to provide regional PR support, manage international PR agencies, and ensure consistent messaging across all markets.
  • Build Compelling Narratives: Work closely with cross-functional leaders in product marketing, customer success, partnerships, people operations, and the executive team to craft stories that elevate Amplitude’s brand awareness.
  • Oversee Agency Relationships: Oversee our U.S. PR agency, ensuring they have the resources, access, and guidance necessary to succeed.
  • Enhance Executive Communications: Manage executive communications programs, including thought leadership initiatives, briefing documents, preparation sessions, and strategic communication counsel.
  • Support Internal Communications: Provide support for high-priority internal communications projects.
  • Manage Crisis Communications: Partner with cross-functional teams to execute customer, partner, and employee communications strategy. 

You'll be a great addition to the team if you:

  • Are an excellent writer with a passion for storytelling
  • Understand the B2B media landscape and know what it takes to land outstanding media coverage.
  • Have experience managing integrated communications programs, including media relations, content, thought leadership, speaking engagements, awards, social media, internal comms, etc.
  • Are a clear, confident, and persuasive communicator who is comfortable working directly with executives and leading agency teams.
  • Are a dedicated worker who can make decisions quickly, prioritize initiatives, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have 8+ years of experience in the communications industry. Bonus points for experience in enterprise tech.

This role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $168,000 - $252,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $186,000 - $279,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $186,000 - $279,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $168,000 - $252,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $168,000 - $252,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
