Job Description Overview

We are seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer with deep expertise in learning science, learning design, and learning analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult learning concepts and be passionate about creating innovative and impactful learning experiences. This role will involve designing and creating high-quality, scalable learning programs that meet the needs of diverse international audiences. The Senior Learning Experience Designer will play a critical role in driving the evolution of our learning strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to inform content decisions and ensure continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development:

    • Lead the design, development, and creation of learning and training content for a variety of audiences, focusing on customer-facing field roles.

    • Apply advanced learning science principles and adult learning concepts to create engaging, learner-centered materials and activities that drive knowledge retention and skill acquisition.

    • Develop and implement scalable learning solutions that include self-directed, instructor-led (ILT), virtual (vILT), and hands-on practical training formats.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product teams and technical SMEs, to gather insights and ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.

    • Act as a thought leader within the organization, sharing best practices in learning design and championing innovative approaches to learning.

  • Content Management and Quality Assurance:

    • Manage multiple content development projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to internal content standards, templates, and timelines.

    • Establish and maintain high-quality standards for all learning materials, continuously refining and improving content based on learner feedback and performance data.

  • Learning Analytics and Continuous Improvement:

    • Utilize learning analytics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, identifying areas for improvement and iterating on content and delivery methods.

    • Create and apply reliable and valid evaluation tools to assess learner progress, knowledge transfer, and overall program impact.

    • Conducts training and development needs assessments to identify target training areas and KPIs_

    • Conducts analysis of training delivery to evaluate and measure results

    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning science, learning design, and educational technology, incorporating new insights into learning solutions.

  • Program Management and Change Leadership:

    • Drive the ongoing evolution of learning programs, ensuring they align with business needs and the strategic goals of the learning team.

    • Demonstrate strong change management skills, guiding the organization through transitions and ensuring smooth adoption of new learning initiatives.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Science, Educational Technology, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7 years of content design and 5 years of experience in learning experience design, with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful learning programs.

  • Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and learning analytics.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such Articulate and Adobe Creative, administrating learning management systems (LMS), and other educational technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform content decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a global or international context, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in delivering training to diverse audiences.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical training or content development for customer-facing roles.

  • Certification in instructional design, project management, or a related field.

  • Experience working in the cyber security, cloud and/or technology space.

Thank you for your interest in Commvault. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, and within the below base salary range:

$68,000 - $195,500
