Role Description
As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, in the IT Ops team, your role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and comprehensive support for our broader Operations team within GFiber. You'll drive efficiency by automating processes and leveraging your industry technical expertise, strategic mindset, and leadership abilities to partner with Ops to implement business impacting IT solutions.
In this role, you'll:
- Foster strong relationships with operations to deeply understand their business processes and IT needs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network and software issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Resolve complex hardware, software, and networking challenges efficiently to maintain high availability.
- Proactively identify opportunities for IT solutions that streamline operations processes and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the operations team to implement scalable IT systems and infrastructure solutions.
At a minimum we'd like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Administrator in a Corporate IT environment.
- 5 years of experience with Apple OS and Google Workspace.
- Experience in field service technical support role responsible for troubleshooting fleet management, and/or dispatching applications.
It's preferred if you have:
- Experience setting the standards and managing Field Technician’s IT equipment.
- Experience configuring and managing Dispatch and Fleet Management Systems.
- Experience in managing projects in an Agile environment (e.g., Scrum).
- Experience with mobile device management solutions (e.g., Jamf).
- Experience in supporting a telecom operations department.
- Experience with any scripting language (i.e. Python).
- Ability to use written and verbal communication to explain fixes and ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
