Senior iOS Developer

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you’ll develop cutting-edge iOS applications, helping clients transform business requirements into technical architectures and high-performing solutions. You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and other team members to deliver compelling user-facing products. Your role will also involve working directly with customers, delivering tailored mobile solutions, and occasionally traveling to work on-site with clients. As part of our iOS team, you will also experiment with the latest technologies, such as SwiftUI and ARKit, to keep us at the forefront of the mobile development landscape.

Who You Are

  • You easily help transform business requirements into technical architecture.
  • You collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and your Development Team to deliver compelling user-facing products and services.
  • You have experience working with Agile software development methodologies like Scrum. You apply the Agile values to your work and understand how they can add to your team’s success.
  • You have experience working directly with clients and stakeholders. You’re a consultant, comfortable interacting with clients to solve their business challenges.
  • You can handle working on multiple projects or tasks and keep them all under control.
  • You value writing clean, maintainable, testable code that solves business problems quickly.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience developing native iOS applications, using Swift, native iOS SDKs/Frameworks, and Xcode.
  • Experience with financial services or banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of architecture patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, or MVC.
  • Proficiency in creating automated unit tests and ensuring code quality.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Bitrise or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with package managers like Cocoapods or Carthage.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, applying Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Nice to Have:

  • Reactive programming experience with RxSwift or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with Objective-C.
  • A desire to work with the latest iOS technologies, including SwiftUI and ARKit.

Location

While Aequilibrium is remote-first, we host in-person engagement events quarterly. Depending on your role, you may be required to be on-site from time to time to support our business's needs.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $90K—$120K annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and market data.
