Senior Intelligence Analyst, Cybercrime

The Global Intelligence Team at Chainalysis is made up of world-class cryptocurrency investigators and subject matter experts who build trust in blockchains by mapping real-world entities to their cryptocurrency activity - from malware to infrastructure to criminal networks. This team builds the core data assets that feed all Chainalysis products.

As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you'll uncover new insights into the cybercrime underground, providing customers with unique intelligence as it relates to cryptocurrency and the tools and services fueling devastating cyber attacks. You'll build upon your existing experience conducting proprietary research into cybercrime forums, markets, chats, and open sources related to cybercrime. You'll be looked to as a subject matter expert, and will manage requirements and provide thought leadership in your domains. 

You'll take ownership and think creatively while collaborating with a passionate team of specialists, and be responsive to customer requirements. As part of your responsibilities, you'll create robust documentation and demonstrate analytical rigor to ensure high quality results. is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has a pulse on the cybercrime ecosystem and its facilitators, and is excited to build new skills in blockchain forensics.

In this role, you’ll

• Uncover unique actionable insights contributing to the data platform and broader understanding of cyber threat actors

• Play an integral role in crafting collection requirements and execution strategy to maintain best-in-class data

• Perform original research to identify and process collections for investigative leads

• Work across internal teams, clients, to provide the contextual narrative for observed cryptocurrency activity

• Become a certified cryptocurrency professional with all Chainalysis certifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

• OSINT or all-source research experience in an intelligence, law enforcement, or academic capacity focused on cybersecurity, transnational crime, or underground activity

• Hands-on experience with blockchain forensics a plus

• 8+ years of experience producing research products or reporting within the cybersecurity or geopolitical fields

• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail

• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for REST APIs, file operations, and analytical tasks

• Russian language reading and writing skills is strongly preferred
