We are looking for a dynamic Senior Instructional Systems Design Specialist to join our team! The Supply Chain Management Senior Instructional Systems Design Specialist at CATHEXIS is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced instructional systems and training programs tailored to the needs of professionals engaged in supply chain management activities. This position focuses on harnessing expert knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning theories, and innovative technologies to create impactful learning experiences. By working closely with supply chain experts, stakeholders, and educational technology specialists, the Senior Instructional Systems Design Specialist will develop strategic training solutions that align with CATHEXIS's mission and support its commitment to excellence in serving government clients.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced instructional design principles and learning technologies to design and develop Section 508 compliant vILT, in-person, or e-learning instruction and training materials packages, including but not limited to slide presentations, storyboards, modules, SCORM packages, classroom activities, job aids, assessments, facilitator guides, and participant guides
- Perform analysis of existing course content and/or SME materials to ensure courses adhere to adult learning principles, including alignment of content, style requirements, learning objectives, engagement, and activities
- Assess training needs and learning outcomes, employing data-driven approaches to measure the effectiveness of instructional programs and identify opportunities for enhancement
- Working collaboratively with a various project stakeholders including SMEs, program leads, and other developers
- Proactively track and communicate project status with supervisor, including potential mitigation strategies for when risks jeopardize deliverable timelines
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in supply chain management, instructional design, and educational technology, integrating best practices and innovations into training initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) preferred
- 5 years of experience providing instructional design expertise, including analysis, design, and ILT, vILT, and WBT development
- 3 years of experience creating adult-learning content in a corporate environment or for a government contractor
- Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Clearance
Skills:
- Deep knowledge and experience with adult learning, objective creation, and curriculum writing with application of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Expert in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- Proficient in the development of synchronous virtual learning (vILT) training materials within vILT platforms, such as Blackboard LMS and Microsoft Teams
- Proficient in the use of asynchronous (WBT) authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline 360
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Works well with tight deadlines and adaptable to evolving priorities
- Strong task management skills, including planning and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of training products
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with government contracting processes (e.g., Section 508 Compliance)
- Understanding of methods to assess learning effectiveness, including Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation, and the ability to apply these methods to measure and improve training outcomes
- Ability to identify challenges in the learning process and creatively develop solutions or adapt strategies to enhance learning effectiveness
- A strong commitment to staying current with the latest developments in instructional design, educational technology and integrating best practices into training initiatives
CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $96,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
