Senior GIS Web Developer

We are seeking a Senior GIS Web Developer to participate in code reviews, approve and merge pull requests, and perform demos

of  work to business sponsors and peers. This candidate will participate in defect and story creation adding description, defect steps, acceptance criteria, etc… and should have a good understanding of GIS map displays and labeling for complex scenarios.

This candidate will be leading the GIS development effort for our application using the Esri JavaScript Api 4.x version. They will monitor/upgrade our Esri JavaScript Api based on Product Lifecyle schedules. All development will be done within React. This is a remote role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform both technical and non-technical activities supporting our GIS application.
• Keep our GIS application at the latest stable version of Esri’s ArcGIS JavaScript Api 4.x
• Contribute on story and defect creation for developers to follow.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred, equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Experience with git, bitbucket, github, or equivalent
• 5+ years GIS Web Developer using ArcGIS
• experience with Esri Javascript Api 4.x
• 1 to 3+ years of experience with React

Desired qualifications:

• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies
• Experience with storybook
• Experience with AWS or Azure

Other Information:

• The salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually
