ROLE:  GymOwners.com is looking for an experienced Senior Front End Developer. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer with deep expertise in React and TypeScript to lead the development of scalable, performant, and maintainable web applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver intuitive and dynamic user experiences. You’ll be expected to mentor junior developers, advocate for best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions that drive the future of our front-end stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development & Implementation

• Develop and maintain high-performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Build modular, reusable components and front-end libraries.
• Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Collaborate with design and backend teams to implement features from concept to deployment.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead front-end technical efforts and mentor junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Best Practices & Innovation

• Advocate for clean code, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Identify and implement front-end architectural improvements.
• Promote adherence to accessibility and web standards.

Quality & Testing

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues quickly and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with at least 3+ years using React in production.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Deep understanding of React fundamentals including hooks, context, component lifecycle, and state management.
• Experience with CSS-in-JS, SASS, Material UIor other modern styling approaches.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows (CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL integration.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Familiarity with monorepos and tools like Turborepo, Nx, or Lerna.
• Exposure to micro-frontend architectures or modular frontend design.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
• Experience optimizing performance using tools like Lighthouse, Webpack, or Chrome DevTools.
• Understanding of design systems and component libraries like Storybook, Chakra UI, or Material UI.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
• React Native experience.
