The Senior Financial Analyst – Accounting will be a key member of our Finance & Accounting organization, responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting across the company. This role will lead the execution of monthly close processes, prepare financial statements, and ensure alignment with accounting standards and internal policies. You’ll work closely with both accounting and non-accounting teams to deliver financial insights that drive transparency and help leadership make informed, strategic decisions. This is a high-impact role for someone with strong GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare & post journal entries and support schedules during the monthly close process
  • Complete timely and accurate account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies proactively
  • Analyze monthly financial results, research variances, & communicate with key drivers across departments
  • Navigate the general ledger and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to investigate & resolve issues
  • Partner with field and cross-functional teams to support accounting-related inquiries & processes
  • Support and enforce the accruals process, ensuring consistent application across departments
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit schedules and respond to auditor requests
  • Contribute to the definition and documentation of accounting procedures for staff-level roles
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support leadership decision-making

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes, with hands-on experience managing general ledger activity
  • Advanced Excel skills; confident working with large data sets, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling
  • Proficiency in ERP systems; NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

Other Experience & Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, general accounting, or equivalent roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (MBA/MPA or CPA a plus)
  • Experience in both public and private accounting preferred
  • Telecom industry experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sedentary periods using computers, keyboard, and other peripherals.
  • Near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and reasoning.

The annualized salary for this role ranges from: $90,000 - $100,000. Actual rate offered influenced by multiple factors including: education, training, relative skills & abilities, business needs, market factors, and work location. Pay Ranges are subject to modification.
