Senior Finance Operations Analyst
Remote Canada
As a Senior Finance Operations Analyst, you will oversee the travel and expense process and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial insights, streamline processes, and problem solve.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada.
What you can expect:
- Expense Management Administration:
- Process expense reports for all employees using our travel and expense reporting systems ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Review new user setups and maintain/update user accounts, including assignment and review of virtual card and spend programs
- Partner with the Finance Systems team in assisting with the review of approval workflows and make recommendations for changes as needed
- Develop and maintain accurate training videos and documentation, SOPs, FAQs and functional specific documentation as needed
- Work with the travel and expense management vendors to resolve travel related issues
- Accounting and Finance Support:
- Create and maintain monthly travel dashboard, ad-hoc management reporting on travel and expense, cross functional reporting support and KPI reporting
- Perform expense account reconciliations, monthly accruals, prepayment tracking and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Lead moderately complex projects and programs within the Finance department, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals
- Proactively identify areas of process improvement through feedback and analysis, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance financial operations
What we're looking for:
- 5 years of experience in a finance, finance operations role or related
- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams an influence stakeholders at varying levels
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead and manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely completion.
- Strategic thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to take the lead on complex problems and break them down into actionable steps
